Beach Elopement Locations in Miami

Miami is a popular destination for beach elopements, and it’s no wonder why! In addition to the sunny beaches with crystal clear water, Miami offers breathtaking city views. There are so many beach elopement locations to choose from in Miami. Our favorite location, of course, was Miami Beach! But here are some other popular places for Miami elopements that we love:

Miami Beach

Miami Beach is world-famous for its city views and gorgeous water. There are over 7 miles of beaches here, each with a unique vibe and view. A note about eloping in Miami Beach: Depending on the exact location of your elopement, you may need to apply for an event permit.

Crandon Park in Key Biscayne

South of Miami Beach, you’ll find Key Biscayne, another dreamy destination for elopements. Crandon Park on Key Biscayne has over 2 miles of pristine beaches. And if you’re looking for palm trees, Crandon Park is the perfect spot for you!

Bill Baggs Cape State Park

Bill Baggs Cape State Park is located on the southern point of Key Biscayne. On top of more beautiful beaches, there is also a historic lighthouse. From the lighthouse, the views are incredible!

Hollywood Beach

You can find Hollywood Beach just north of Miami. Hollywood Beach is known for its “Old Florida” feel and pedestrian Broadwalk. We love the idea of a beach elopement here where the couple could hang out and walk around the restaurants and shops on the Broadwalk after saying their vows!

Things to Know About Eloping in Miami

Before planning an elopement in Miami, you should know a few things: First of all, it’s pretty simple to get married in Florida. Out-of-state residents can get a marriage license on the same day they apply. Florida residents have a mandatory 3-day waiting period. You can pre-apply online for your marriage license and bring your application to the courthouse for faster service. Your marriage license is good anywhere in the state of Florida! A deputy clerk can perform a civil ceremony once you have your license, or you can find an ordained minister, judge, or public notary to perform your ceremony.
